No obligation. No judgment. No agenda beyond understanding what you're facing and whether there's a way I can help. Whether you're in crisis, sensing something needs to change, or building systems before you ever need them — this is the right first step.
Support for the Leader. Stability for the Church.

Watchmen: Guarding the Call serves pastors and church boards nationwide. The majority of consulting engagements are conducted remotely by phone or video, with on-site visits available for crisis response and intensive engagements.
For speaking engagements and board retreats, Zach is available to travel nationally.
What to Expect
Every initial contact receives a personal response from Zach — not an assistant, not an automated system. Typically within one business day for general inquiries, and same-day for active crisis situations. The first conversation is always free, always confidential, and always focused entirely on what you're facing.
Prefer to start in writing? Use this form to introduce yourself and describe what you're navigating. Zach will respond personally and confidentially.
Our Commitment to You
You cannot do this work without it. Pastors cannot be honest about what is actually happening in their interior world if they are afraid that honesty will cost them their position. Boards cannot navigate crisis well if they are worried that calling for help will escalate rather than stabilize. Confidentiality is not a box to check — it is the precondition for everything useful that happens in this work.
Every engagement is governed by a formal confidentiality agreement from the first substantive conversation. What you share stays here.
About Zach de Vaux
Zach de Vaux has been in and around pastoral ministry since 2008, when he and his wife Becky planted a church together. He holds a Master of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry from Lee University and is a certified Judgment Index™ practitioner.
